What does MG in vape juices mean?

What does MG in vape juices mean?

MG stands for milligram and is the measure of the concentration of nicotine in the vape juice. The beauty of vaping is that you're able to choose vape juices with different nicotine levels (compared to cigarettes, which usually have a standard amount).

If you see 3mg on your vape juice bottle, it means that the juice contains 3mg of nicotine in every ml ie. a 50ml bottle of vape juice would have 150mg of nicotine.

Vape juices usually have nicotine levels that range from 0 - 24mg. Heavy smokers might start at the highest level and gradually reduce the concentration so that they can eventually quit nicotine altogether.

What ingredients go into e-liquids or e-juices?

What ingredients go into e-liquids or e-juices?

E-liquids (also known as e-juice or vape juice) typically contain 3-4 main elements -- vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), flavouring and nicotine (optional).

VG and PG are solvents. Flavouring provides the tastiness that many vapers (flavour chasers) look for. While there are zero nicotine options, vapers who use vaping as a way to quit smoking prefer juices with nicotine.

With vaping, you're able to adjust the nicotine levels in your vape juices. Heavy smokers might start out with 18mg nic levels and slowly reduce it until it gets to 3mg or even 0.

Can I smoke and vape at the same time?

As far as we know, there are no studies that indicate worse effects if you both smoke and vape.

Of course, when you start vaping, the idea is to quit smoking entirely. However, not everyone manages to keep to that ideal.

Studies have shown however, that smokers who start vaping were able to reduce the amount of cigarettes smoked per day. So if you need to, use vaping to help you reduce your cigarette consumption.

    Are e-cigarettes safer than cigarettes?

    Are e-cigarettes safer than cigarettes?

As mentioned before, vaping is rather new and there's still a lot of research that needs to be done if we want to know what the long term effects are.

What we do know at this point in time is that cigarettes release over 4,000 chemicals when combusted. When you smoke, you're also exposed to carbon monoxide, which is a carcinogenic agent.

Short term studies have also shown that smokers who switched to vaping saw improvements in their health. At the same time, their families were not exposed to secondhand smoke, which affects non-smokers the same way as smokers.

What are the benefits of vaping?

What are the benefits of vaping?

While there's still research to be done about how harmful or not vaping is, there are some short term benefits that have been recognised.

When you vape, you don't experience the lingering smell that cigarettes leave behind. Based on what we currently know, vaping causes less harm to your body and has proven to be one of the best methods for smoking cessation.
